Attention! In "Ideal Slideshow" application context terms "Delete" and "Clone" refer to internal database objects. Actual media files are NEVER deleted, copied, moved, renamed or cloned.

The free version has all but one of the pro version's features -

'Ideal Slideshow' Main windowMain Window

The main window displays a list of folder icons in horizontal scroll view (the top part of the screen) and a grid of image and video previews below.

Adding image or video automatically adds all images and videos from the corresponding folder. Selected image or video preview appears in folders list as folder icon. Folders list is sorted alphabetically using full folder path as a sort criteria.

Tap on folder icon to select it.
Tap on the preview image starts folder's slideshow.

Video can be displayed as screenshot, first fragment, full length or custom fragment.

Select 'Show stars' from the Options menu to show star controls.
Tap on star icon to toggle image  star attribute.

Select 'Show controls' from the Options menu to show controls.
Tap on subtitles icon in the right bottom part of any preview to enter 'Subtitles' window.
Tap on order icon in the left bottom part of any preview to display the context menu.

Select 'Slideshows' from the Options menu to open 'Slideshows' window. Some slideshows are initially built in. Edit slideshow and tap Play to start slideshow playback.

Cloning Clip

Attention! Cloning is used for the following purposes:                                                                                  
1. to display the image or video more than once
2. to provide different subtitles
3. to set different custom video fragments

Select 'Slideshows' command from the Options Menu to enter the 'Slideshows' window.
Tap on slideshow to display a slideshow menu (Edit/Play/Clone/Delete/Export).
Tap 'Play' icon to start the slideshow.

Select required folders, set folders order and other slideshow paramaters, add sound track(s) if necessary.
Select 'Play' from the Option menu to start the slideshow.


Attention! Playback started from main window uses special 'Folder' slideshow. 'Folder' slideshows are created automatically for each folder and are not displayed in 'Slideshows' window. Each 'Folder' slideshow uses its own folder content and doesn't allow selecting folders and changing the slideshow name (which is folder path). 'Shuffle' command is disabled as well.

'Ideal Slideshow' SubtitlesSubtitles

Subtitles list contains all subtitles defined for image or video file. Subtitles are always sorted by 'Start Time'. The whole subtitles duration overrides the corresponding slideshow setting.

Tap 'Add Subtitle' to create a new subtitle. Tap on subtitle to enter 'Edit Subtitle' window.

'Edit Subtitle' window provides controls for subtitle text, start time, duration and formatting.

'Set Custom Fragment' dialog allows setting the 'Start time' and 'Duration' for video files.

Please, keep in mind that custom video fragments are supported in 'Pro' version only.

'Ideal Slideshow' ExportExport

Slideshow can be exported to XML file located in "mnt/sdcard/VirtualFilmsSoftware/IdealSlideshowXXX" folder. Exported file is intended to save all slideshow parameters such as folders, file names, subtitles, custom fragments and files order. The subsequent import procedure allows restoring saved data on the same or another device provided the actual media files and folders are in the same place.

'Preferences' window appears when the user selects 'Preferences' command in the main menu.
'Preferences' window contains 2 tabs - 'Main' and 'Steps'.

Tab 'Main' controls default subtitle appearance as well as some other parameters.

Tab 'Steps' allows controlling the basic steps time intervals in Player navigation controls.
